Mayor’s Task Force for Jobs Youth Coach – Fixed Term, 23 February to 30 June 2026
Hours: Flexible (can be part or full time)
Are you passionate about supporting young people to reach their potential? Mayor’s Taskforce for Jobs is all about opening doors to employment opportunities for young people, helping them build strong foundations to fulfil their potential and shape their futures! We’re looking for an experienced Youth Coach to join our small, friendly team, when our current coach heads off to study.
About the Role:

Work directly with youth from diverse backgrounds, helping them access the support they need.

Prepare young people to become work-ready through coaching and guidance.

Organise events and facilitate small group sessions with confidence and enthusiasm.

Possess strong relationships with local employers and place clients into employment.

Advocate on behalf of clients to ensure they have the best opportunities for success.
About You:

Proven experience working with youth.

Strong networking skills and experience placing people into employment.
-
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
-
Ability to work collaboratively in a fun, positive team environment.

Must have full drivers’ licence and be comfortable transporting clients throughout the Southland District.
